Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this study was to provide basic reference for knowledge management in nursing by analyzing the relationship between perceived importance of knowledge management and nursing performance. Method: SPSS 14.0 program was used for data analysis. Frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe¡¯s test and Pearson correlation coefficient were calculated. Result: Importance of Knowledge Management according to general characteristics showed significant difference in departments. Nursing Performance according to general characteristics has a noticeable difference
statistically in age, departments, total work experience, work experience in present department, position. There was a positive correlation between importance of knowledge management and nursing performance. Conclusion: It is important to learn knowledge constantly in connection with nursing works under realization of that it is the basis for qualitative nursing.
